My friends, I have officially started Phase 3 of the Ideal Protein Diet.

What does this mean?

It means I'm phasing off of this diet and introducing complex carbs like berries, grains, and more dairy back into my diet.  The concept is to get your pancreas adjusted to producing insulin again, but slowly since it hasn't been producing as much since I started this program on 11/27/12.

I haven't reached my goal yet of 140 lbs, but I'm not losing weight has efficiently as I was in the past and my hair is falling out still.  I fear that by the time I get to goal I'm going to be bald!

So I've decided to phase off and then I'm going to continue losing weight eating clean and doing P90X.

This morning I had a Phase 3 Big Breakfast where I ate so many yummy foods like greek yogurt, berries, and toast and peanut butter.  I loved every moment of it!

I also started working out again in a big way to Turbo Fire from Chalene Johnson.  Just love this workout!

I had a HUGE non scale victory this week that almost made me cry with happiness since it was one of the reasons I started on this weight loss journey.

This week I reached my 5th mini goal!!  I'm down past 170 lbs now which is the lowest weight I've been if 18 years!!

Here's my weight loss stats.

Summary of my how many inches I've lost total in each area:

  • Arm – 5.00 in EACH arm!
  • Chest – 9.50 inches
  • Waist – 11.5 inches
  • Stomach – 13 inches
  • Hips – 13.5 inches
  • Thigh – 9.75 inches in EACH thigh!!!  Wha??  Crazy!
  • Calves – 4.00 inches in EACH calf

Week 41 Weight Loss Weigh-In Results on Ideal Protein Diet

  • Weight Loss for the week:  -1.2 lbs
  • Inches Lost for the week:  -1.25 inches
  • Total Weight Loss in 41 weeks:  -87.6 lbs
  • Total Inches Lost in 41 weeks:  -86.5 inches

More interesting weight loss weigh-in stat:

  • Dropped from 52.9% body fat to 37.9%
  • Fat mass dropped from 136 lbs of fat to 64.2 lbs of fat!  INCREDIBLE!!!!
  • My metabolic age has dropped from 56 to 49 (I'm only 42 as of today).
  • BMI has dropped from 45.6 to 30
