This last weekend, I went to a wedding where there was food all around and specifically two wedding cakes. I won't go into specifics, but let's just say people's faces showed how amazing it was when they would take a bite and then close their eyes and purr like a kitten. “Orgasmic” was a word that a woman in her 60s used to describe how good it taste.

So she and another gentleman commented on why I wasn't eating any cake and I just said, “I'm not eating sugar right now”. So the gentleman explained that we just have to give into temptations every once and awhile and learn to balance our eating: moderation was the key for him explained to me.

So they kept offering me the cake and I kept saying no. So finally I said, if I eat even one bite of that cake, it will through my whole body out of ketosis and I'll be mad at myself for sabotaging my weight loss – so the 60 year old woman turned to me with a mouth full of cake and said, “This f'ing cake sucks! Just awful I tell you!” Made me laugh so hard.

So I ask, why do people feel like they need to pressure you into eating? He wasn't forceful or mean, just trying to convince me of the benefits of eating that cake.

I'm glad I didn't eat it. My butt is thanking me for it. They fit into those size 12 pants this week!

My fat mass weighed 136 lbs when I first started and now it weights 70.4 lbs!  Incredible!

Here's another “check this out” – inches lost:

Arm – 4.5 in EACH arm!

Chest – 8.5 inches

Waist – 9.50 inches

Stomach – 11 inches

Hips – 12 inches

Thigh – 8.5 inches in EACH thigh!!!  Wha??  Crazy!

Calves – 3.75 inches in EACH calf

Calves – 3.75 inches in EACH calf

Here's some perspective – I took a 16 oz Starbucks cup – cuz that was the first thing I saw that was rounded and looks like a thigh (well not really like a thigh) – and it measured almost 8 inches around the top part of the cup!  I've lost a 16 oz width of a Starbucks cup off of each thigh!!!!!

Goals:

Main goal to get to 124 lbs.  My cycle chick has MADE it past the half way mark!!!!!!!!  Woo Hoo!

Week 31 Weight Loss Weigh-In Results on Ideal Protein Diet

  • Weight Loss for the week:  -.80 lbs
  • Inches Lost for the week:  -1.00 inches
  • Total Weight Loss in 31 weeks:  -76.4 lbs
  • Total Inches Lost in 31 weeks:  -76.5 inches

More interesting weight loss weigh-in stats:

  • Dropped from 52.9% body fat to 39%
  • Fat mass dropped from 136 lbs of fat to 70.4 lbs of fat!  INCREDIBLE!!!!
  • My metabolic age is still 56 (I'm only 41 as of today) which is what I started at.  Still scary!
  • BMI has dropped from 45.6 to 32.
