There comes a time when change is necessary.

A year after embarking on a raw food journey, I've discovered a balance between eating raw food and organic cooked foods.  Now before all of you purist raw foodies comment  – this journey was about self discovery and doing what works best for my body.

What I found is that I love green smoothies – which is raw – I love salads, avocado and tomato salads, and a variety of other raw foods.  I also missed my grains like hot, organic, whole-grain oatmeal with raisins, cranberries, honey, cinnamon, and nuts.  I missed cooked vegetables, seafood, wild rice, and other organic, vegetarian choices.

I have engaged in eating meat, but found that mostly I don't really care for it.

No matter what food I choose to eat, I want it to be food that will nourish my body, give it the best nutrition, and make sure its as toxin-free as possible.
