Give a shout out to TURNIPS! Woot woot!
Have you ever eaten a turnip??
Turnips are my new best friend to eat in my green smoothies and quite tasty eaten raw on salads or even steamed. How could I just now be finding out about turnips?
I've heard of turnips before – heck – I'm from the South where many people eat turnips, but somehow I've never tasted a turnip. (more…)
I've made so many green smoothies, but this is by far my favorite green smoothie to date. It's a really simple base of fruit and then I switch out different greens each day. Just as a reminder, try to buy as much organic as you possibly can. I know it can get expensive, but it's worth it to not eat all of those toxins when we're trying to create this healthy body. Just doesn't make sense does it to eat healthy and then wash it down with a glass full of pesticides. Yuck!

My taste buds have changed and I'm enjoying the flavors of greens more and more. The more greens you can blend in, the better you'll feel. (more…)
All I can say is, AMAZING!!!
This was one of the best smoothies I've made so far. For this amazing chocolatey green smoothie, I used a leftover young coconut that I had from the previous green smoothie, so you could use a whole one instead and reduce the water. Play around with it and make it yours, to your taste desires. I added green spinach as my leafy green, which you can't even taste for those who are new to raw eating, and it feels so good to have an amazing green smooth, full of healthy goodness, and my favorite CHOCOLATE!!!
