Finally I am able to weigh myself after traveling.  I only lost 4 lbs over a 3 week period which isn't that much weight considering a raw food diet eating green smoothies.

The differences in how I ate while traveling compared to how I ate while at home was fairly different.  The foods I ate were more dense, like onion bread, nut and fruit bars that I made in the dehydrator, and small bites of carrot cake. (more…)

I still haven't been able to weigh since I'm traveling, but I will have weight loss results on the next weeks post! I'm excited to see the results. My clothes are looser than they were when I started traveling.

That has to be a good thing! Typically when you travel you run the risk of eating worse than you would at home since you don't have the same food resources. (more…)

Join me in my journey to losing weight on a raw food diet that is completely vegan.

I started a 90 day challenge of eating raw food and green smoothies – which are completely raw – to see the effects of what a super clean method of eating could to my body.  My initial goal was to hopefully reverse food sensitivity issues that gave me eczema, dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, pimples, inflammation, and possibly contributing to me being overweight.  Secondly, I wanted to lose weight while getting healthy. Can you believe it's been 3 weeks already?  Time has just flown by and have lost weight with an easiness that I'm not accustomed to with diets in the past.  I feel so healthy, energized and just loving every day that I continue on this journey towards better health.

While I'm writing this, I'm dehydrating some fruit and banana leather for my trip.  It smells amazing and is still raw since the temperature is set at 110 – 8 degrees below the 118 raw food temperature to retain enzymes.  I can't until it's done and I can taste it.  It was so easy.  (more…)

I just had to report that last night went well with eating out and going to the symphony. We had such a wonderful evening. Dinner was at an authentic Mexican food restaurant that uses organics. I had a chopped salad with avocado, tomato, greens, and cabbage. For the dressing I used a fresh pico de gallo for a fresh mexican cuisine. I did however miss not having the tortilla chips, but I was so determined to keep it raw that I DID! (more…)
