My friends, I have officially started Phase 3 of the Ideal Protein Diet.
What does this mean?
It means I'm phasing off of this diet and introducing complex carbs like berries, grains, and more dairy back into my diet. The concept is to get your pancreas adjusted to producing insulin again, but slowly since it hasn't been producing as much since I started this program on 11/27/12. (more…)
Here I am again writing about how I haven't lost much weight again this week. Really gets frustrating!
Only lost .2 lbs this week.
Makes me want to jump of this band wagon and move on to P90X which will definitely help me get off those last lbs. 30 more lbs left to lose. (more…)
Well I didn't make my goal this week of being under 170 lbs, but I still lost weight – albeit only .4 lbs, but hey – it's moving in the right direction!
I'm headed out for a bike ride today for a couple of hours and I'm finally able to fit in my bicycling shirt without my rolls spilling over. (more…)
Lots of exciting news today!!!! It's week 38 and the summer months are slowly coming to an end. Thankfully I've been able to stay on program without cheating and getting through a 4 week plateau. It's tried my patience, I've been tempted, and frustrated, but at the end of the day I realize it's part of the journey. (more…)
You may – or may not – have noticed that I didn't post Week 34 and 35 weight loss results and skipped right to Week 36. Well, I was in a bit of a funk with my plateau. I should have posted even during the plateau, but I just was feeling up to it.

Well – this is going to be one of those weeks where I tell you how my weight loss has plateaued. I've only lost 5 lbs in the last 4 weeks – half of my normal loss. I could be upset – but I'm not – I'm actually thankful that this is the first time I've really plateaued since losing almost 80 lbs. It's actually pretty incredible!
So – to get myself out of the plateau I needed to change it up. Some diets call for a cheat meal or day once a week, but I'm not willing to cheat so instead I went out and ran two days in a row and ate an extra 2-3 small meals each day. (more…)
