Today I completed another round of Zumba – about 20 minutes.  Nothing too crazy – but I'm still having trouble with the moves.

Is it bad when you sway your hips to one side and your butt fat is still on the other side trying to catch up?  I have to laugh at myself.  I was so uncoordinated and not sexy at all. (more…)

Daily Fitness Journal – 03/30/13 Two Mile Walk

What a glorious weekend!  I headed up to the Island (Whidbey Island) to visit with my cousins this weekend.  Sunlight was beaming from all around – dancing off of the Puget Sound water as I took the ferry from the mainland to the Island.  Skies were blue and clear so you could see the snow packed Olympic Mountains to the West, Mt Baker to the North, Cascade Mountains to the East, and Mt Rainier to the South.

Temps were also hovering around 65-73 during the day which just topped off this beautiful weekend!

So as we (Washatonians) get sunshine and no rain – we go outside.   (more…)

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy!  Yes I was singing this tune today with all of the beautiful sunshine we had all day.  Absolutely incredible!  We're supposed to have lots of sun and warmth all weekend too.

I cut out of work early – as Seattleites often do when it's sunny – and Lily and I headed out to a local park for a short walk and hike.  She had me laughing so hard and enjoying her JOY.  She was loving the sun and warmth – about 63 degrees outside – running around the fields and jumping, hopping around like a rabbit. Daily Fitness Journal – 03/27/13 Qi Gong Water with Matthew Cohen

The last couple of days I've been walking after work instead of using the DVDs for a more structured fitness routine.  I kind of missed it!  I know surprise – since I've been enjoying the beautiful sunshine.

Tonight – since it was back to the ‘ole rainy days of Seattle – I ripped open my new, uncracked, Qi Gong DVD from Matthew Cohen called Qi Gong Fire and Water.  By the way, I let Amazon know that my DVD had cracked and they sent me a replacement DVD the next day.  Talk about some customer service!!!

Daily Fitness Journal – 03/25/13 Walking

What another beautiful day in Seattle!  I couldn't stay inside and workout to a DVD with this much sunshine so Lily girl and I went for a walk in the local park for about 25 minutes.

Soaking up some more rays to increase my Vitamin D.  Ah!  My skin loves the sunshine.

If you haven't heard – Seattle doesn't get much sunshine in the winter so if it's sunny – I'm dropping whatever I was planning on doing and going outside.  The lack of sunshine also makes me Vitamin D deficient so I have to supplement daily. (more…)
