(NaturalNews) For years, I've always carried my own drinking water when I'm at the gym or running errands around town. That's because I don't drink out of water fountains with all their chlorinated, fluoridated public water sources (yuck!). I can't stand restaurant water, which is usually just gross tap water with ice cubes in it. I also don't drink out of plastic water bottles because, well, I don't particularly wish to grow a pair of BPA-induced male breasts (although I'm sure that would be amusing to YouTube viewers).
BPA (Bisphenol-A), after all, is the now-infamous “hormone mimicking” plastics chemical. It will probably be outlawed in the next few years because of the emerging science linking it to hormone-sensitive cancers like breast cancer and prostate cancer. (more…)
How is it that I didn’t know raw almonds aren’t really raw, especially considering that the stores selling the raw almonds label these nuts as “raw”? Isn’t this a fraud on consumers to misrepresent a product?
In 2006, the California Almond Board, FDA, and USDA devised a plan to mandate that all almonds grown in the U.S. must be subjected to pasteurization at heats above 200 degrees starting in 2007. The mandate comes after two salmonella scares from almonds and peanut butter that were neither organic nor raw. (more…)
IgG Food Sensitivity Test
Today I went to the store and purchased all of my organic fruits and vegetables from Whole Foods Market and Costco. I came home washed everything and stored them in the refrigerator and/or my large fruit and vegetable basket in the kitchen. I want to make sure I’m prepared for tomorrow when I will officially begin transitioning from cooked foods to a raw food diet and occasionally cooked vegan foods. (more…)
