Okay, so I know most of the time I start out with some kind of blurb about how great this dish is – well – let's not break protocol – this low carb Shepherd's Pie is so tasty – if I do say so myself. It's actually now one of my favorites that I will probably make each week if not every other week.
It will also freeze well so you can make easily make a head of time and place in the freezer. (more…)

I used the Ideal Protein Potato Puree to mix up these babies and tossed in some fresh herbs and garlic. Now all that was missing was a big ole' slather of butter – kidding! (more…)
This is definitely one of my favorite meals on the Ideal Protein protocol diet. It's very filling and full of veggies – then I top it off with some Tabasco.

In my ongoing quest to take foods I love and make it into a healthy option – I discovered cauliflower pizza crust.
It's seriously good and such a healthy way to have your pizza any way you like it. It doesn't taste doughy of course like regular pizza, but it's pretty darn close to the overall flavor and you don't taste cauliflower.
It's a pretty simple recipe to prep and cook and the plus side – you don't have to wait for your dough to rise! (more…)
Now this is one of my all time favorite recipes for several reasons.
It's packed full of flavor with a Cajun flair with chili powder, cumin, green and red peppers, and celery.
Riced cauliflower instead of actual rice makes this recipe a low-carb, healthy alternative that doesn't sacrifice on the flavor.
It's easy to make and doesn't take that long to cook. While your letting all the flavors simmer together for 30 minutes, you can clean up the dishes, read a book, review your Facebook account and – well you get the idea. (more…)
Ideal Protein has a Broccoli Cheese Soup meal packet that is pretty good on it's own; however if you want to boost the flavor and get your two cups of vegetables in at the same time – then you'll want to try this recipe.
Adding mushrooms, celery and garlic to most of the soups makes for an excellent addition to pump up the volume and flavor. (more…)
In my continued quest to find a low-carb solution for Mexican food I recreated my favorite taco filling – carnitas. You can fill your taco shells with this, but for a lower carb more healthy approach, fill your lettuce wraps with carnitas, or throw it on a bed of lettuce for a carnitas taco salad. It's also mouth-watering all by itself. (more…)

I love my vegetables, but a girl's got to get creative sometimes.
Just like you can hide your spinach in a Mocha Frappuccino, you can hide zucchini in chocolate cookies. These little gems will give your cookie some body, some fluff, some nutrients and most important, will help you get in 1 cup of vegetables per serving towards your 4 cups of vegetables on the Ideal Protein diet. (more…)
