You know how TOM came to visit last week, well, TOM decided to extend his (is that even appropriate to say “his”) stay for another week. I don’t remember inviting him for TWO WEEKS!
My Ideal Protein Coach says it’s the hormones being released as the fat is burned, thus it will mess with my TOM. I’m hoping TOM decides to leave soon.
Well, I’ve completed 5 weeks of Ideal Protein and technically survived all of the holidays without one cheat. I’m quite impressed with myself. I really owe it to the fact I’m not hungry on this diet so cheating doesn’t really enter my mind. No hunger means I haven’t had any cravings. Except I did have one of the Ideal Protein Strawberry Wafers this week and I wanted to eat the whole box – they were so tasty. They look like the sugar wafers and the bottom is dipped in chocolate. Super yummy!
Tonight I made a mock “potato” salad out of cauliflower which looks quite good. The taste – well – it’s quite interesting. I wouldn’t say it’s like potato salad, but it does taste good. Maybe less onions next time. I’ll post it soon and you can decide for yourself.
Oh, I got this great idea from another dieter. I was thinking of mini rewards for every 10 lbs I lose so I decided on a charm necklace from Pandora. Initially I thought – 1 charm for every 10 lbs lost – however I might have to buy 12+ charms which might not look so great on one necklace and my wallet would definitely take a beating.
The conclusion was to purchase 1 charm for every 20 lbs and then save $50 per 10 lbs lost towards a new wardrobe when I get to my goal weight. I’m 1.6 lbs away from adding my first charm!
So today was the Week 5 Weigh-in and I didn’t lose as much weight as I would have liked because that dumb TOM keeps extending his stay. Although, I am happy to still be losing. At least the weight is still coming off.

Lost 2.2 lbs and 1.3 lbs in week 5.
Total weight loss 18.4 lbs and 7.8 inches.
