Week 10 is behind me and I’m off to week 11 on this quick Ideal Protein journey.
I’m feeling so much stronger than I ever have – like I can conquer this thing once and for all. I love how I feel on this diet and how much energy I have on a daily basis.
This week I was having a rough week at work since we’ve been so busy and I came home, sat down to eat, and look at emails. Sitting in my email inbox were the sweetest words to my ear at that moment. Krista P. emailed me the following message:
I’m in my second week of IP and was having the hardest time coming up with recipes etc. I discovered this blog through Pinterest. I was going to give up on the diet, even though I was losing weight, I was just running out of ideas. Thanks to you! I am definitely sticking through this, the benefit outweighs anything else. Thank you for your blog and encouragement! From one fellow IP dieter to another!!

Last week I was seriously neglecting my water intake with my crazy work schedule so since I’ve adopted the “No excuses” philosophy, I bought a jug that can hold 64 ounces of water and keep it on my desk at work. No excuses now huh? It worked. In fact, I got all 64 ounces about an hour before I would go home. Before I was struggling to get that in my body all in one day.
Since I started Ideal Protein, I don’t even think about going out to eat. I really don’t want the temptations and I can just have healthier, tastier options at home. But when I really do want come home and not cook, I’ll head to Qdoba for a naked taco salad. My favorite is loaded with chicken, fajita vegetables, pico de gallo, and tomatillo sauce. I usually have to ask for a side of chicken as well, because the amount they put on the salad isn’t 8 ounces.
So now that I have my new freezer being delivered next weekend, I’m thinking of cooking up some fajita vegetables, some grilled chicken and then freeze in individual packets. It’s cheaper and probably healthier.
Week 10 Weigh-In Results on Ideal Protein Diet
- Weight Loss for the week: -2.2 lbs
- Inches Lost for the week: -2.25 inches
- Total Weight Loss in 10 weeks: -30 lbs
- Total Inches Lost in 10 weeks: -20 inches
More interesting weight loss stats:
- Dropped from 52.9% body fat to 46% (yeah – my skeleton and muscle now weigh more than my fat!)
- My metabolic age is still 56 (I’m only 41 as of today) which is what I started at. Still scary!
- BMI has dropped from 45.6 to 40.2.
